Experience the DifferenceOur Mission is to create an exceptional experience for pet owners. We work as a team with shared dedication and passion to enhance the health of each pet resulting in a stronger human/animal/veterinary bond.
We're proud of our efforts to offer a difference you can experience. Your pet's comfort and safety are our primary concerns. Order our brochure "Experience the Difference" that explains it all.
An exam room assistant will greet you and your pet in the reception area. The assistant will coordinate your doctor exam and any treatments or prescriptions needed, help to find answers to your questions, provide information on doctor findings or recommendations and work to make your visit both pleasant and informative.
After our staff completes a full medical history, the doctor will perform a comprehensive nose-to-tail exam. We believe a thorough exam is a mandatory initial step in diagnosis and treatment. We also believe preventative medicine is the key to a long and healthy life.
At the annual wellness examination, we will work with you to develop a wellness plan to keep your pet healthy, active and comfortable for as long as possible. If the focus of your visit is illness or injury, we will thoroughly explain all diagnostics and treatments recommended. Pain control is always addressed and included in your pet's treatment plan.
We realize that there is a large amount of information covered in the exam room. For your convenience, we will write up a report card summarizing the exam and doctor recommendations and will also provide additional information on any diseases, treatment or products discussed.
Meadow Hills Veterinary Center's number one asset is our staff. Their knowledge, expertise, and professionalism should exceed your expectations during your visit. Our high staff-to-doctor ratio (6:1) ensures that each pet receives personal attention and close monitoring.
New staff members are required to complete a ten phase training program to ensure consistent patient care and client service. This means you can have confidence in each staff member's ability to provide high quality, personalized pet care.
Weekly team meetings are scheduled for open discussion on improving the services we offer to you. Monthly staff meetings bring all our teams together for training sessions on medical topics and client service.
In addition to in-house training, our staff travels to regional and national lectures and conferences to maintain our knowledge of current medical, surgical and dental procedures, as well as preventative medicine.
Our
staff completed over 500 hours of continued education in 2008.

Meadow Hills continues to invest in technology and equipment keeping it up-to-date and a leader in the veterinary industry.
Every x-ray taken at Meadow Hills is reviewed by a Board Certified Veterinary Radiologist.

Every surgical patient has an anesthesia record of vital signs checked throughout the procedure.
Our dental cleanings are equivalent to a periodontal cleaning for
humans and are completed under general anesthesia. The same goals
of pain control, safety and comfort explained under Anesthesia
and Surgery apply to all of our dental procedures. The dental procedure
consists of a complete oral exam, ultrasonic scaling and probing
along the gum line, polishing with fluoride paste and accurate
oral charting. Dental x-rays are frequently used to diagnose hidden
problems.
Patients are sent home with a full dental care package and you
are trained during the discharge appointment on preventative care
that you may provide at home for your pet.
Every pet waking up from anesthesia receives a warm fluffy blanket, hot water bottles, and a team member to comfort them.
The American Animal Hospital Association (AHHA) was founded to encourage veterinary hospitals to meet exemplary standards in providing patient care and client service. In 2003, the number of standards was expanded to over 800 and now includes evaluation of medical and surgical care, dentistry, safety, human resources, anesthesia, pain management, and preventative medicine.
Meadow Hills Veterinary Center was the first veterinary clinic in the Northwest United States to pass these new standards with an Honors designation.
Meadow Hills Veterinary Center's retail area features the largest selection of Hills Science Diet and Prescription Diet foods in the Mid-Columbia area. If, for any reason, a Hill's product is out of stock, Meadow Hills will provide a NO CHARGE delivery of the food to your home as a continued commitment to you.
