Our Services

Medical Services

Whether your pet requires a few medications or intensive care, the team at Meadow Hills Veterinary Center is ready to provide care with compassion and close attention to your pet’s needs. Hospital staff, technicians and doctors all work together to monitor each pet’s symptoms, response to treatment and level of pain. Medications and protocols are constantly being adjusted and changed as treatment proceeds. Owners are called with regular updates and each pet’s family is welcome to visit.

Our clinics are equiped to deal with medical procedures, including these:

Electrocardiography

EKGs are performed in-house at Meadow HillsVeterinary Centers. When finished, all EKGs are sent to Cardiopet, a veterinary consultation service, where a board-certified cardiologist will interpret results and work with our doctors to provide the best “next step” for your pet.

Endoscopy

Video endoscopy is invaluable for our patients who require in-depth exploration of the ears, esophagus, stomach, colon, and deep wounds or for biopsies of major abdominal organs.

In-House Laboratory

When we need lab information FAST to help your pet, we can do blood serum chemistries and electrolyte analyses, complete blood counts, urine, stool, and skin evaluations right in the clinic.

All radiographs taken at MHVC are evaluated by a board-certified radiologist.

Pharmacy & Nutritional Care

We conveniently provide most prescription medications as well as prescription diets through our pharmacy and nutritional retail areas.

Microchip Identification

A microchip implanted under the skin has become a very popular method of pet identification. The microchip, about the size of a pencil lead, is injected under your pet's skin while he is anesthetized. The chip contains a code that can be used to access your contact information through the microchip company. Most veterinarians and humane societies have readers for the microchips so that you can be located and reunited with your pet.
